The Department of Pharmaceutics, Met Faculty of Pharmacy Moradabad Uttar-Pradesh has been a relentless pioneer in spreading pharmaceutical education. In addition to the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), the department offers B. Pharm and D. Pharm programmes approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

For diploma students, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students, the department conducts lectures on the topics of Pharmaceutics-1, Physical pharmaceutics-1, Physical Pharmaceutics-2, Industrial Pharmacy 1,2, Pharmaceutical jurisprudence, Biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, quality assurance, Novel drug delivery system. Also, departments conduct lectures on Pharmaceutical microbiology and Pharmaceutical biotechnology.

Department has made a significant contribution to pharmacy education and research on national and international levels. The department has vast alumni support for the curriculum enrichment and holistic growth of the department. The faculty members have made remarkable contributions to the profession of pharmacy.

The distinguished research credentials of the researchers & faculty members have been published in reputed and high impact journals. The departmental academic and research activities are supported with state of art instrumental facilities including six basket dissolution apparatus, Disintegration apparatus, Hardness testers, Roche friabilator, Humidity chamber, stability chamber. B.O.D. Incubator, Single punched tablet machine, capsule filling machine, Melting point apparatus, Bulk density apparatus, Pan coater, Sieve shaker, magnetic stirrer with hot plate, Digital oven, Drying oven, Ampule clarity, Double cone blander and Lab scale Fermenter.

In Pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory have instrumental facilities such as Laminar Air flow, Hot air oven and centrifuge apparatus. Academic programmes emphasize basic knowledge as well as its applications, pushing current frontiers of innovations, developing efficient teaching-learning methodologies.

  • Nanomedicines & Nano-herbals.
  • Oral bioavailability enhancement using lipid-based systems.
  • Intranasal and transdermal delivery of therapeutic agents for bioavailability enhancement and delivery.
  • Lipid based drug delivery systems for prevention and treatment of different neurological and metabolic diseases.
  • Nanocarriers for Combination Drugs.
  • Improvement in oral bioavailability of BCS classes II and IV drugs by polymeric conjugates and nanolipid-based systems.
  • Polymeric Nanoparticulate drug delivery systems for brain delivery for the treatment of CNS disorders by oral and intranasal route.
  • Nanoparticulate systems for different therapeutic class with phytoconstituents.
